Iranian films have been nominated for eight awards at The Branson International Film Festival's 2019 event.
Director Mahmoud Nazeri's 'A Frame for Solitude' and 'Gonbad-e Giti' have both been nominated for awards with the former being nominated for Best Short Film and the latter for Best Documentary. Other films nominated at the event include director Saleh Kashefi's 'A Pair Of Horns On A Female Homo Sapiens' for Best Student Film and Javad Daraei's 'Limit' for Best Teaser.
A number of actors have also been nominated for the Best Young Actor award for their roles in Iranian films. Mohammad Sarvari and Erfan Arefkhani have been selected for their roles in 'Childhood Dream' directed by Hassan Najmabadi as well as Naeim Sheikh Mahbobi and Hamed Nadri for their roles in 'Are You Volleyball?!' directed by Mohammad Bakhshi.
The Branson International Film Festival will be held from April 4-7, 2019 in the US.
